Hello and welcome to Up Hill ‘n’ Down Dale. My name is Laura and I am an experienced dog walker and 5 star licenced Home boarder based in Congleton, Cheshire. No. CE/HB192
I specialise in Hungarian Vizslas, and I am a proud dog mum to Erik my Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla. I’m experienced in all HPR (Hunters, Pointer, Retriever) breeds and other gundog breeds. I have previously owned Patterdales, Border Terriers, Lurchers and Spaniels. (I also board lots of other breeds, so please ask!)
I understand how stressful it can be for dog owners leaving their dogs with someone new whilst they are away on holiday. I can assure you they will feel at home and receive the same love from me, with lots of homemade treats, country walks, playtime and social interaction with other doggie friends.
We are fully insured, CRB/DBS checked and dog first aid and emergency canine care qualification accredited by CPD Standards Office. I also hold a 5 Star rating Home Boarding and Doggie Daycare Licence issued by Cheshire East Council Animal Welfare Inspection Team. (All documents are available to view if you so wish on our meet and greet.)
Services
Home Boarding
Your dog will be staying in a home from home environment (definitely no kennels!) They will sleep on a comfy sofa or bed just like they would at home or lay in front of a log burning stove in the winter months. We explore the Cheshire and Staffordshire Moorlands countryside on our daily walks, across fields, canals or country parks. I would make sure they had a fantastic holiday with us! We can accommodate dogs that need extra TLC with dietary needs or medication during their stay. I can also accommodate raw feeders; their food will be stored in a separate dog fridge and freezer. Bring with them their own bed, food or treats-or their special toy or blanket to help them settle in.
Doggie Daycare
Our doggie daycare runs from Monday-Friday 8am-6pm. Whether you require regular daycare to cover work commitments or Ad-Hoc cover if you require a day out without worrying about leaving your dog home alone. My daycare dogs come out on my group walks with the boarding dogs for social interaction and lots of fun!
(Please drop off between 8am-9am and pick up between 4pm-6pm as we are probably out exploring between those times.)
Dog Taxi
We can provide a Dog Taxi Service for people that are unable to drive or struggle to get their dogs to vet appointments or grooming appointments. I can stay with you dog for the duration of the appointment and then bring them home after. (an hourly rate and milage will be payable on pick up.)

Payment Cash/Bank Transfer
Cash is payable on drop off for Home Boarding or Doggie Daycare.
Bank Transfer. I will be taking £100 non-refundable deposit on booking. Unfortunately, I can no longer take ‘save the date’ due to last minute cancellations. The remaining balance is payable on drop off. For regular daycare bookings I kindly request payment at the beginning of each month in advance.

I will check my availability with your required dates, and we can arrange a date for you and your dog to come for a meet and greet. If you and your dog are happy during the meeting, we can arrange a trial day and an overnight stay to make sure they settle well before their holiday.
To make a booking I will ask you to read and sign some very important documents about you dog, these include.
- Boarding/Daycare terms and conditions.
- Dog information sheet including your details, emergency contacts, vet contact and medical/food requirements. I also ask for a up-to-date vaccination card to keep your dog and other visiting dogs covered. (I require a new copy every 12 months once they have had their yearly check-up and boosters.)
- Written consent from owners while your dog is staying with us.
